Thermoplastic compound maker AlphaGary, which became part of chemical and petrochemical supplier Mexichem in 2011, has changed its name to Mexichem Specialty Compounds.
AlphaGary has three production facilities – two in the U.S. and one in the United Kingdom.
Headquartered in Leominster, Mass., AlphaGary provides technical expertise for developing compounds in markets such as wire and cable, medical, and industrial, as well as food contact, consumer goods, building and construction, and automotive. The company’s product portfolio includes low-smoke halogen-free compounds, low-smoke plenum compounds, flame retardant PVC and PP, and a broad range of TPE, TPV, TPO, TPU, CPE, and PVC compounds.
Although the company’s name is changing, the company’s product and brand names will not change. “With over 30 years of proud history at the forefront of the compound technology industry, “AlphaGary continues to develop and deliver custom-made, value-adding solutions in partnership with its customers, and these partnerships will continue under the new name of Mexichem Specialty Compounds,” said Mexichem general manager Daniel DeLisle.
