Graham Machinery Group, the York, PA-headquartered manufacturer of extrusion blow molding machinery, has acquired the Hesta Blow Molding Machinery Company from the R Stahl Group of Germany. Hesta is a major European supplier of shuttle and small accumulator head machinery. According to Graham’s CEO Steve Wood, the acquisition of Hesta will enhance new product development and provide Graham with a European and global presence. With the addition of Hesta’s products, Graham now offers single and dual station shuttle machines, multi-cavity rotary shuttles, high-speed wheel machines and a complete line of accumulator head machinery. Graham Machinery Group is represented in Canada by Plastics Machinery Inc., (Newmarket, Ont.).

Polytech Machinery Ltd. (Brampton, Ont.) has reached agreements to become the Canadian distributor of the product lines of three U.S. based companies. The companies are Novatec Inc. (Baltimore, MD), Cumberland Engineering LLC (South, Attleboro, MA) and Sterling Systems (Forest VA). Novatec is a manufacturer of a full line of raw materials handling equipment, including dryers, hoppers and central or machine-side loading and blending systems. Cumberland makes a variety of size-reduction equipment. Sterling Systems is a manufacturer of blower systems, cooling tanks, conveying systems and other products for the extrusion, injection and blow molding markets. Coinciding with these business developments, Polytech has announced it is ending its nine-year relationship with the AEC Inc. group of companies.

Dier International Plastics Inc. located in Unionville, Ont. has announced it will represent the AEC Inc. product group in Ontario, Quebec and the Maritimes. AEC’s line includes Whitlock raw materials drying, conveying and blending systems, Nelmor granulators and shredders, Applications Engineering sprue pickers and parts removal robots and Hydreclaim film scrap reclaim systems. At the same time Dier has announced it is no longer representing raw materials equipment supplier Motan.

Control Solutions Inc., (Brampton, Ont.) had announced it will be representing Systronics, Inc. (Norcross, GA) in Canada. Systronics manufacturers on-line inspection systems for plastic, film and other materials. The inspection systems locate, detect, classify and map defects while monitoring for width, edge wander, and edge integrity.

Ontario Heater & Supply Co. (Richmond Hill, Ont.) is now representing Burger Engineering, Inc. (Olathe, KS) and its line of Smartflow products in Ontario. OH&S will provide sales and service support for Smartflow manifolds, flowmeters, limit switches, mold temperature regulators and ejector tie-in systems.
