Aurora Plastics appoints new CEO, CFO
Aurora Plastics, a Streetsboro, Ohio-based manufacturer of PVC compounds in both powder and pellet form, has made two appointments to its senior management team.
Darrell K. Hughes has been named as CEO and Matt D. McDonald as chief financial officer (CFO).
Hughes will replace Jim Domo as the company’s CEO, who will serve as a special advisor through the end of 2016. Most recently, Hughes served as vice president and general manager of the Avery Dennison North American, pressure sensitive materials business. Prior to that, he worked at GE Plastics, where he held successive positions as general manager of global business development, general manager of the RTV and elastomers business, and president and general manager for specialty film and sheet.
McDonald will join the senior team as CFO, replacing Tony Lamorte, who will retire at year’s end. Prior to joining Aurora Plastics, McDonald worked at Qualitor, Inc., where he was vice president and CFO since 2015. McDonald has also been the CFO of several private equity-owned manufacturing businesses, including Citadel Plastics, a former Wind Point Partners’ portfolio company.
