Royal Appliance has approved Multibase’s Multi-Flex TEA 4001-35 thermoplastic elastomer alloy for use on the bumper of its Vision Sensor vacuum cleaner. The material is overmolded to an ABS part without the need for primer or mechanical fasteners.
This 35 Shore A alloy is fully compatible with ABS. Its low durometer provides good shock absorption and it will not stain when it comes into contact with painted surfaces. It also shows good scratch resistance.
Multi-flex 4001-35 TPE alloy can be overmolded by insert molding or processed by rotational molding. It also adheres to polycarbonate, styrene acrylonitrile (SAN), polypropionate and other engineering resins.
