Netherlands-based polyolefin manufacturer Basell has completed the sale of its Basell USA Inc.’s Gahanna, OH compounding facility to Alloy Polymers. According to the terms of the agreement, Alloy Polymers, located in Richmond, VA, will provide toll compounding services to Basell for a four-year period to supply Basell’s customer base served by the Gahanna plant. Additionally, the companies have signed a licensing agreement that will allow Alloy to manufacture and sell certain compounded products that are no longer part of Basell’s core business. These products include Hivalloy, a line of polypropylene engineering alloys for high-performance applications, as well as other polypropylene composite materials and alloys (PCMA) product lines.
