Injection molding machinery manufacturer Demag Ergotech has moved to a new facility with a demonstration and technical centre following the dissolution of its partnership with Van Dorn Demag Corp. (Strongsville, OH). Demag Ergotech USA offices now report directly to head office in Germany. The new facility is located at 22555 Ascoa Ct., Strongsville, OH 44149, tel.: 440/876-6455.

Both Demag Ergotech and Van Dorn Demag continue to be represented in Canada by Stephen Sales Group (Markham, Ont.).

Chemicals distributor Henley Chemicals (Concord, Ont.) is expanding its presence in the plastics industry with two new suppliers. Polyfil Corp. (Rockaway, N.J.) is a compounder specializing in additive concentrates for films. Polyvel Inc. (Hammonton, N.J.) produces concentrates based on liquid, low-melting point, highly volatile and heat-sensitive polymer additives.

Sandretto USA (Freedom, PA) has opened a new tech centre in Pittsfield, MA, in cooperation with moldmaker Starbase Technologies. The centre will occupy a portion of Starbase’s plant, and can house up to eight injection machines with clamping forces from 30 to 330 tons. Sandretto is represented in Canada by Ontario Heater & Supply Co. (Richmond Hill, Ont.)

Robotics and automation supplier Automated Assemblies Corp. (Clinton, MA) is now represented in Canada by Manufab Sales (Mississauga, Ont.).

Slate Steel Inc. (Mississauga, Ont.) has completed the acquisition of Atlas Specialty Steels (Welland, Ont.), a producer of tool steels, stainless steels and vacuum arc remelted steels.

Stanpac Inc. (Smithville, Ont.) has received ISO 9000 and HACCP designation. The company produce packaging products and sealing systems for the food, beverage and pharmaceutical industries.
