Carteaux named new SPI chief (January 09, 2005)

Demag Plastics Group president and CEO William Carteaux has resigned from the company in order to become the president of the Washington-D.C.-based Society of the Plastics Industry Inc.<br>
Carteaux joined Van Dorn Demag as vice president of sales and marketing in 1999, and took over as president and CEO of the company in 2002, the year it merged with sister company Demag Ergotech to form Demag Plastics Group.<br>
“While I look forward to the new challenge with SPI, I am leaving Demag on a solid foundation, and more than able to fulfill the molding machinery and processing needs of the marketplace,” Carteaux said.<br>
SPI was founded in 1937 as a trade association representing the interests of the entire plastics industry supply chain.<br>
