Aoki has developed a new model of single-stage injection stretch blow molding machine that achieves significantly shorter cycle times and improved machine performance for producing a variety of products. Cycle time for the new SB III-250LL-50S is 30 percent less than its predecessor.
One improvement is that both halves of the preform mold can now move simultaneously during mold opening and closing.
A function for up and down movement has been added to the blow mold clamping system to provide optimum position for mold clamping when a hot runner is used.
Injection pressure has also been boosted.

Micro loader designed for color
IMS has expanded its line of Whisper hopper loaders with a new Micro-Loader for loading color. It also offers the option of brushless motors for other Whisper models.
The Micro-Loader is 5 in. in diameter, 10 in. tall and extends only 3 in. into the hopper.
Brushless motors require no motor maintenance. The motors have dual ball bearings on the shaft, providing 5000 hours of maintenance-free operation. They have a three-stage fan and operate from 120 V AC. IMS’ Whisper loaders use sound absorbing foam to muffle operation noise.

DC motors need less maintenanc
A new generation of DC motors from ABB are ideal for precise motor control on extrusion equipment, including injection, compression and blow molding machines, calender lines and extruders. The DMI motors have laminated construction and a horsepower range of 40 to 700 hp (30 kW to 522 kW).
Due to a smaller diameter commutator, brush lengths are increased and maintenance requirements decreased.

Efficient, variable static eliminator
The Exair Ion Air Cannon eliminates static electricity and cleans at distances up to 15 feet. It is suitable for bench tops, machine mounting or hard-to-reach places that require a steady stream of static eliminating ions. Applications include bag opening, cleaning molded parts, prepaint dust removal and package cleaning.
The Ion Cannon incorporates Exair’s Super Air Amplifier that minimizes compressed air usage by inducing surrounding airflow at a ratio of 22:1. Air volume and velocity are infinitely controllable from a breeze to a blast to blow away contaminants.
