Blow molder Sidel to open Malaysian factory in 2007

Beginning in 2007, Sidel Industry (Malaysia) Inc. will operate a blow molding plant near Kuala Lumpur to manufacture polyethylene terephthalate (PET) bottles.
The new site, which replaces two plants currently operating in Malaysia less than 20 km away from one another, will run Sidel’s own lines of SBO Compact and SBO Universal small and medium output rate blow molding machines, which produce below 7,000 bottles per hour.
Based in Le Havre, France, Sidel manufactures PET bottles as well as conveying and end-of-line equipment. The company currently has operations in ten countries, including Sidel (Canada) Inc. in Laval, Que.
