On Oct. 18, equipment supplier Hamilton Avtec held an open house at its headquarters in Mississauga, Ont. to display the latest auxiliary equipment from Conair. In addition to a plant tour and lunch, attendees were treated to a series of process improvement seminars from members of the Conair staff. In August, Hamilton Avtec announced that it had teamed with Pittsburgh, Pa.-based Conair in order to supply Conair equipment for Canadian processors.

Hamilton Avtec also used the occasion to introduce new members of its sales staff: Jim Ley, area manager for Central Ontario; Keith Harris, area manager for Eastern Ontario; Terry Schill, area manager for Western Ontario; Jocelyn Fournier, area manager for extrusion in Quebec; and Ted Goldup, marketing, Eastern and Western Provinces. Also, Francois Laferrier, of Industries Laferriere, has been named as Hamilton Avtec’s area manager for injection molding in Quebec.
