Husky Injection Molding Systems is expanding its Pronto line of fully configurable hot runners.

Husky Injection Molding Systems is expanding its Pronto line of fully configurable hot runners.

The line will provide customers with significantly more design flexibility and a larger number of configuration options, the Bolton, Ont.-based company said.

“Pronto has been a fundamental part of our hot runner platform for the past 10 years,” said David Whiffen, Husky’s director of marketing, hot runners. “The Pronto program allows us to do this faster and at a price that is up to 20 per cent less than comparable customised systems. This means our customers can bring products to market faster, while achieving the highest levels of quality at the lowest part cost.”

The Husky Pronto program is said to offer customized hot runners and simple integration for the cost of a standard hot runner. The system can be tailored for each customer’s specific application, providing rapid delivery of fully configurable complete hot halves or manifold systems.

According to Husky, Pronto’s expansion highlights include more than 100 manifold layouts, more than doubling the scope of the existing Pronto program to accommodate a much wider range of applications; significantly increased flexibility of plate sizes and pitch spacing; and expanded nozzle options, including Ultra 350, 500 and 750 nozzles with hot tip and valve gate options available for all three nozzles.
