Bolton, Ont.-based Husky Injection Molding Systems has formed a hot runners team, based in the company’s Detroit Technical Center, to meet the needs of automotive molders and mold makers.
“The benefits for our automotive customers include faster deliveries, improved quality and better overall responsiveness from their hot runner supplier,” said Rich Sieradzki, vice-president of service and sales for North America for Husky Injection Molding in a press release.
Husky has been supplying hot runners to the automotive industry for 15 years with systems for interior, exterior and under-the-hood applications. All design work was previously done at Husky’s hot runner facility in Milton, Vt., which will continue to provide manufacturing support to the new team. The Detroit Technical Center has become a development hub for the company’s automotive customers, with the facility having supported more than 250 customer mold tests in the past year.
