Bolton, Ont.-based Husky Injection Molding Systems Ltd. has announced that it will integrate its line of Altanium controllers with its existing worldwide hot runner manufacturing operations.
With manufacturing facilities in Shenzhen, Luxembourg and Vermont, Husky will now be able to manufacture hot runner controllers customers locally and conduct integrated testing with the hot runner, the company said.
Husky also noted that its customers will benefit from reduced delivery times.
“We’re always looking for ways to make our customers more productive and competitive,” said Dinesh Budapanahalli, general manager for Tooling Asia. “Combining Altanium and hot runner manufacturing at locations that are closer to where customers do business provides optimized systems at the fastest possible delivery times.”
Altanium uses ART (Active Reasoning Technology) to control heating elements within a hot runner system, and comes in several configurations. Husky acquired the Altanium line of products when it purchased Moldflow Corp.’s Manufacturing Solutions Division last year.
