After more than two decades, Brazil’s biannual Brazilplast trade show is getting a name change and facelift for 2013.

The show is being renamed Feiplastic in an effort to broaden its appeal, and show organizer Reed Exhibitions Alcantara Machado is expanding the fair’s exhibition area from 840,000 square feet to almost 920,000 square feet at the Anhembi Center in São Paula, Brazil.

Scheduled to run from May 20 to May 24, 2013 – which overlaps with the Chinaplas trade show, to be held from May 20 to May 23 in Guangzhou, China – the organizer expects the event to draw 1,400 domestic and international exhibitors and 70,000 visitors.

The 2011 version of the Brasilplast drew 1,390 exhibitors, with 504 coming from outside Brazil. Total attendance was reported to be above 65,000.
