The centre of the plastic’s industry attention will be on Dusseldorf, Germany for the next week, as K 2004, the 16th International Trade Fair Plastics + Rubber gets ready to open its doors to the public on Wednesday, Oct. 20. The Fair will feature 2900 exhibitors from 53 countries showcasing products and services over a net exhibition space of 162,000 square meters. The countries outside Germany with the most exhibitors are Italy (451 exhibitors), USA (124), the UK (119), Taiwan (118), Switzerland (113) and France (101). Canada will have a total of 19 exhibitors at K 2004, down from 26 in 2001. Manufacturers of machinery are the largest group of exhibitors, comprising 1,770 companies in over 113,881 sq. m of exhibit space. Suppliers of raw materials and auxiliaries are the next largest group with 524 exhibitors in a net exhibition area of 32,103 sq. m.
