On the heels of its merger with Kiefel, extrusion line manufacturer Reifenhauser Inc. is moving from Ipswich, Mass. to a new 10,000 square foot facility in Danvers, Mass. 

 

“With the fusion of Reifenhauser and Kiefel the need for a new location to better serve customers in North America was apparent,” Reifenhauser said in a statement. “The new facility in Danvers will house sales, service, spare parts and project management teams to support customers in Canada and the U.S.”

Reifenhauser Inc. represents parent company Reifenhauser GmbH’s product line including Reifenhauser Kiefel blown film lines, cast film lines, thermoforming sheet Lines and special extrusion systems in the U.S. and Canadian markets.

 

Troisdorf, Germany-based Reifenhauser GmbH purchased Kiefel’s film machinery business in August 2009.

 

Reifenhauser GmbH reported total sales of more than 400 million euros (US$573 million) in 2008 and employs more than 1,000. The figure includes film, spun bonding, strap tape and other machinery.
