Germany-based extrusion equipment maker Reifenhäuser Group has reorganized its U.S. subsidiary, appointing Steve DeSpain as president of Reifenhauser Inc.
DeSpain will be responsible for leading the North American team for equipment sales, service and spare parts across all Reifenhauser product lines. DeSpain had previously been the company’s vice president/general manager.
Also, Frank Ohidy has been named service manager, responsible for leading the North American team of service technicians; and James Snell has joined the company as project manager for North America, responsible for complete project management of all orders within North America including interfacing with the various groups in Germany and outside vendors.
Comprised of six business units, the family-owned Reifenhäuser Group employs about 1,200 people at its three German sites; the company reported total revenues of EUR 450 million in 2011/2012. Reifenhäuser Inc. is located in Danvers, Mass.
