Equipment manufacturer IPEG Inc., which owns auxiliary equipment suppliers Conair Group, Republic Machine, and Thermal Care, is relocating a business unit from Kentucky to Pennsylvania.

IPEG is moving its Republic Machine manufacturing operations from Louisville to its facility in Franklin, Pa., investing about US$1.4 million toward expansion and improvements. This will create at least 35 new full-time jobs and retain 234 existing posts over the next three years, the Pennsylvania Governor’s office said in a statement.

Republic Machine supplies single-shaft shredders used in size reduction and recycling applications.

Cranberry Township, Pa.-based IPEG is receiving funding for the move from the Pennsylvania Department of Community and Economic Development Department that includes a US$100,000 Pennsylvania First program grant, US$70,000 in Job Creation Tax Credits to be distributed upon creation of the new job, and US$15,750 for funding for employee training.
