Coveris acquires label manufacturer Supraplast

In a bid to expand its footprint into Latin and South America, packaging and coatings provider Coveris S.A. has purchased Supraplast, a shrink sleeve and adhesive label technologies company based in Guayaquil, Ecuador.
The terms of the deal have not been disclosed.
Supraplast manufactures shrink sleeves, self-adhesive labels, safety seals, PVC and PET shrink films for food and beverage, pharmaceutical, personal care, and agriculture markets.
“Supraplast [is] our first operation located in South America,” said Coveris president and CEO Gary Masse. “We look forward to continued growth in Latin and South America.”
Coveris is headquartered in Chicago.
