Engelhard Corp. will now go by the name BASF Catalysts LLC, as part of its integration into the BASF Group.

BASF finalized its purchase of Engelhard on June 12.

Additionally, Engelhard’s Appearance and Performance Technologies and Ventures divisions will operate as part of BASF Catalysts until they are transferred to other existing BASF units.

North York, Ont.-based Ipex Inc. recently introduced an uncoated polyvinyl chloride (PVC) piping system that is fully approved for plenum and high-rise applications.

System XFR 15-50 is lighter, faster to install and its properties provide benefits over competing materials, and has a substantially lower roughness factor than metal, allowing it to be used for small diameter pipe.

York, Pa.-based blow molder Graham Packaging Company has been awarded a Supplier of the Year Award in the packaging category by ketchup manufacturer H.J. Heinz. The award was given in recognition of Graham Packaging’s ‘Fridge Fit’ plastic consumer ketchup container. Graham Packaging has Canadian operations in Mississauga, Ont.

Global performance materials and industrial chemicals manufacturer DSM Engineering Plastics, Americas, has reached an agreement to expand its territory, including into Western Canada, with Wilsonville, Ore.-based resin distributor CC+P Engineering Polymers.

CC+P Engineering Polymers, which represents resin suppliers throughout North America, had previously covered Oregon, Washington, Wyoming, Idaho and Montana for DSM. That territory will now be expanded to include Northern California, Western Canada, Utah, and Nevada.

Loveland, Ohio-based Cold Jet LLC, a supplier of dry ice technology for mold cleaning, has established a Canadian facility in Cambridge, Ont. Denis Auger, a six-year veteran of Cold Jet, will manage the overall operations of the Canadian facility. Cold Jet Canada’s Cambridge facility will provide sales, service, parts and rentals for Cold Jet’s dry ice blasting and dry ice production equipment.
