SOFTWARE SPEEDS ELECTRODE DESIGN AND BUILD

Cimatron Ltd. has released a new CAD/CAM application package for automating the electrode process, called QuickElectrode. The software features analysis capabilities for burn area selection, top-down assembly capabilities for surface extraction, advanced surface creation/modification tools for electrode design, as well as high-end NC programming capabilities for electrode machining, and integrated detailing and drafting to document the EDM process.

The semi-automatic features of QuickElectrode include the ability to utilize dynamic drag and auto-extract techniques to enable fast and accurate identification of burn areas.
