Injection mold mounted hot runner control

American MSI Corporation claims its Revolution is the first injection mold mounted hot runner control, eliminating thermocouple cables, power cables and bulky electronic cabinets that clutter the manufacturing floor. Ultra compact, the Revolution comes in 12 zone increments up to 96 zones as a standard product. Elimination of the mold interface cables for power and thermocouples takes away the long standing problem of interface decisions for the molder and the mold builder in terms of connectors, wiring patterns, cable lengths and amperage ratings. The Revolution uses MSI’s Adapta-Tek mold interface system which makes termination for the heater and thermocouple wires extremely simple for the mold builder. MSI’s injection mold data networking technology links the Revolution to the user interface.
