A super-soft, water-clear, non-oily and non-tacky thermoplastic elastomer (TPE), available with a Shore A hardness of 3, has been introduced by GLS Corp.’s Thermoplastic Elastomer Division. GLS officials say this is one of the softest grades of TPE commercially available.
The new product is known as Versaflex CL2000X. It is the next in a series of ultra-soft TPE materials that GLS has produced. Typical applications of CL2000X include bicycle seats, shoe soles, inserts, handles for brushes and other personal care products and grips for athletic equipment.
