Elastomer company renamed

Lion Chemical Capital LLC and ACI Capital Co. have renamed the former PolyOne Elastomers and Performance Additives Group. The new company will be called Excel Polymers. The company is headquarted in Solon, OH and operates five manufacturing plants in the U.S. and one each in Mexico and the United Kingdom. It is opening a compounding facility in China later this year..
"We are excited by the opportunity implied by the name Excel Polymers," said John Quinn, president. "We are very much committed to our core business of thermoset elastomer compounding, but have always offered a complete range of products and services designed to facilitate customer’s new product introductions."
Revenues for the business division in 2003 were $350 million
