Customized blender packages for production lines that operate at rates up to 5000 lb./hr. or more have been developed by The R.T. Kuntz Co. Inc. The lines are based on Maguire weigh scale blenders but use hoppers with up to four times the capacity of Maguire’s standard hoppers.
“Customizing blender packages for high-volume processors involves more than just up-sizing hoppers,” explains Rod Kuntz, president of R.T. Kuntz. “We have developed a total system for large-scale material handling, with special attention to clean-outs and color changes.”
A collection bin developed by R.T. Kuntz for installation beneath the Maguire blender can be configured for single- or multi-outlet vacuum unloadiing, auger-unload, gaylord-discharge or mezzanine mounting.
