Resin Systems starts commercial shipments

Calgary, Alta.-based Resin Systems Inc. has announced that it has started shipment of the RStandard polyurethane utility poles from its contract manufacturer’s production facility, Tilbury, Ont.-based Global Composite Manufacturing, Inc.

In 2006, Resin Systems made note of challenges such as the lack of staff availability in Alberta and production interruptions due to equipment and automation performance issues.

“Resuming shipments to customers is what we have worked so hard to achieve this year,” said president and CEO Paul Giannelia. “We are confident in reaching full production on the first cell by year-end and commissioning the second cell in the first half of 2008.”

Global is currently operating the first production cell with one shift, and plans to add a second and third shift shortly.
