Strongsville, Ohio-based injection machine manufacturer Demag Plastics Group has named Larry Alvey its new North American sales manager.
Alvey, formerly Demag’s North-Central regional sales manager, replaces former North American sales manager Glenn Frohring.
Alvey started with Demag in 2003, and before then was a direct sales representative for Milacron. In total, he has more than 16 years of plastic industry experience.
Alvey’s promotion comes on the heels of what Demag president Brian Bishop described as a strong showing by the company at the National Plastics Exhibition (NPE) 2006, held in Chicago June 19-23. Demag exceeded its sales goal at the show, Bishop said.
In addition to its Strongsville headquarters, Demag has facilities in Schwaig and Wiehe, Germany; Ningbo, China; and a joint venture in India.
