Do you know any outstanding companies or individuals in Quebec? Nominations are now open for the plastics industry awards organized by the Quebec Region of the Canadian Plastics Industry Association. The awards have grown this year, with a new name, GALEA, a new trophy, and new sponsors.
Nominations are due by Feb. 25; forms are available at the group’s web site, www.acipquebec.ca.
A GALEA award for export success is sponsored by Export Development Canada. Another recognizing innovation is sponsored by National Research Council Canada, and a third directed at small-and medium-sized enterprises is sponsored by a provincial government body, Finances, Economie et Recherche Quebec.
These three GALEA awards are presented to companies. The magazine Les Affaires will sponsor a career award that will be presented to an individual that has made a significant contribution to the industry and the Quebec economy.
The awards are presented at CPIA Quebec’s annual Gala, which takes place April 12 in Vaudreuil, QC.
