A worker who fell through a skylight at Ventra Plastics in Windsor, Ont. has died in hospital, Windsor police report.
The worker – later identified by police as Rob Morneau, 44, – tripped and fell through the skylight on Thursday, Nov. 3. Morneau was an electrician employed by Windsor-based Vollmer Inc., which was contracted to do electrical work at Ventra. According to the Ontario Ministry of Labour, Morneau was installing a new system on Ventra’s roof when he tripped and fell to the floor below.
Ventra Plastics is an injection molding subsidiary of Urbana, Ill.-based Flex-N-Gate Corporation. The company specializes in manufacturing automotive parts.
