Husky announces next president

A 20-year veteran at Husky Injection Molding Systems Ltd. (Bolton, ON) will be the next president of the global machinery manufacturer. The company’s board of directors has selected John Galt, vice-president operations and COO, to be Robert Schad’s successor as president and CEO.
Schad has been president since founding the company in 1953. He recently announced that he will retire within the year.
Schad says Galt’s "strong leadership, professionalism and passion for quality, cost efficiency and best practices have had a major impact on our operations."
Since joining Husky in 1985, Galt has held progressive positions in engineering, manufacturing and customer service. He has been general manager of Husky’s North American machine business and was also based at the European campus in Luxembourg for two years.
