PolyOne appoints new treasurer

Material supplier PolyOne Corporation has named James N. Sloan as vice president and treasurer.

Sloan, who has been with Avon Lake, Ohio-based PolyOne since 2009, replaces Scott J. Leffler, who is leaving the company.

Sloan will be responsible “for all aspects of the company’s capital structure, cash management, insurance and capital markets transactions, as well as leading the internal financial planning and analysis function,” PolyOne said in a statement.

Prior to joining PolyOne, Sloan held positions at Ernst & Young LLP, including senior manager of assurance services, and he later served as director of accounting operations at Aleris International.

PolyOne reported 2015 revenues of US$3.4 billion.
