Austria-based plastic recycling systems producer Erema is about to open a subsidiary in Russia.

Based in Moscow, Erema Russia will cover all CIS states, which – according to Erema – together use 9.1 million tonnes of plastics every year.

Erema Russia’s managing director will be Kalojan Iliev, who has been the company’s representative for the Russian region for several years.

“Erema is strengthening its presence in what is a very large territory which, due to its history as the Soviet Union and Russian as a widespread language, represents a region of its own,” Iliev said in a statement. “This means that Erema is available as a central, Russian contractual partner with local presence. This is not only an advantage in terms of managing the purchasing process; our customers will also benefit from improved service.”

Erema Russia will be the third Erema subsidiary. The company’s other two subsidiaries are Erema China and Erema North America.

The official launch of Erema Russia will take place during the upcoming Interplastica trade show, to be held in Moscow on January 28-31, 2016.
