Sumitomo (SHI) Demag making management changes

Injection press manufacturer Sumitomo (SHI) Demag has named two new managing directors.

Effective June 1, 2013, Christian Renners takes over full responsibility as managing director and chief sales officer for sales, after sales, marketing, and all subsidiaries for the Schwaig, Germany-based company; and Andreas Schramm will be the chief technical officer with full responsibility for R&D, quality, and production.

Sumitomo (SHI) Demag has also announced that Shaun Dean will resign as chief operating officer as of June 1 and move to Sumitomo Heavy Industries Ltd. Japan, where he will take up what the company describes as “wider responsibilities within the SHI Group.”
