Specialty chemical maker Clariant has opened a new engineering project centre in Louisville, Ky., designed to provide project management and engineering services for current and future capital projects throughout North America.
The engineering project centre “is responsible for managing major, ongoing and expected investment projects on the continent, with the project management, complex engineering and chemical process expertise required for retrofits, new lines and new plants,” Clariant said.
The new unit is headed by chemical industry veteran Charles Skeen. Befofre joining Clariant, Skeen worked for Maverick Technologies, Dow Chemical Company, and Rohm and Haas.
Clariant is a globally leading specialty chemicals company, based in Muttenz near Basel/Switzerland.
