Switzerland-based specialty chemical maker Clariant Masterbatches has opened its new facility in Konstantynów ódki, in central Poland.
Work began on the 6,800-square-meter building in March 2013. It includes a new production site, a laboratory, a warehouse, and Clariant offices
According to Clariant, the plant will enable it to double the production capacity of color concentrates for its Business Unit Masterbatches for a variety of plastics manufacturers in Central and Eastern European markets.
“CentralEurope is a very promising market and Poland, as a large and dynamically growing country in the region, is the natural place for further investments,” said Clariant CFO Patrick Jany in a statement.
