KraussMaffei partners with moldmaker Proper Group in U.S.

Processing equipment manufacturer KraussMaffei Corporation has entered into a strategic partnership in the U.S. with mold manufacturer Proper Group International, designed to deliver turnkey solutions to the polyurethane North American marketplace.

As part of the new partnership, KraussMaffei is moving from its 25,000-square-foot polyurethane tooling facility in Novi, Mich., to a new 50,000-square-foot centre located in Warren,Mich., adjacent to Proper Group’s corporate headquarters.

According to KraussMaffei, the new facility will have the full service capabilities to design, build and validate foam tooling, punch tooling, perform spray skin trials, as well as the company’s two-shot “SkinForm” molding technology.

Founded in 1971, Proper Group has five locations in the U.S. and Asia.
