Sertapak to Distribute New Layer Pad

Ingersoll, Ont.-based Sertapak Group Packaging Systems has acquired exclusive Canadian distributorship for the Cartonplast sealed edge plastic separator sheet/layer pads. The lightweight sheets are used in place of paper as separator sheets in bulk glass container packaging. The heat-sealed edges enable the sheet to be sterilized with hot water and steam. According to the company, the Cartonplast layer pad has been shown to increase operating efficiencies by as much as 30 percent when used in conjunction with depalletizing units and has been growing in use in Europe.
