Huntsman Tioxide has announced changes to its North American operations that include the closure of a finishing plant at Tracy, Que. and the relocation of its Canadian technical service centre to Chicago.

The company intends to close the Tracy operation by June; it employs 105 people. The finishing work formerly performed in Quebec will be done by recently-upgraded plants in Europe and South Africa.
