The latest addition to Mikron’s line of high-speed machining centres is designed for high-performance machining in die and mold manufacturing. The VCP 1000 Duro is available as either a 3-axis or 4-axis unit.

Its stable construction allows it to be used for a wide range of tasks, from roughing to fine finishing work. A large, sturdy polymer concrete machine base provides excellent rigidity, thermal stability and vibration dampening qualities.

The VCP 1000 is equipped with a digital Heidenhain iTNC 530 control system. State-of-the-art motor spindle technology provides vector regulation and spindle case cooling for constant temperature during operation. Spindles are available in speed ranges from12,000 to 42,000 rpm. They are well suited to cutting hardened steel, graphite and other materials.
