Developed to meet the specialize requirements of bottled water, Eastman Chemical Co.’s Eastapak AQUA polymers are being put to a new use: to stretch blow mold five-gallon containers used for delivery. The polymers result in containers with very uniform walls and excellent clarity because of the self-leveling property of PET.
Eastapak AQUA polymers are specifically designed to meet the stringent standards for optical clarity and taste established by the major international water companies and regulatory bodies. Shelf-testing has also shown that the polymers contribute no detectable taste.
