CPI Plastics Group Ltd. has entered into a distribution agreement with Great Southern Wood Preserving, Inc. that will expand the retail reach and distribution of CPI’s wood replacement decking product, eon. Great Southern, with head offices in Abbeville, AL, is the second largest producer of pressure treated lumber in the U.S. The company will distribute CPI’s decking system through an extensive network of major home renovation centres and independent lumber yards.

“This allows us to significantly expand our distribution channels in the United States,” Peter Clark, chairman and CEO of CPI stated. “Analysts project the segment of the decking market we compete in will grow to $800 million by 2005.”

CPI, based in Mississauga, ON, has 600 employees, seven plants occupying over 300,000 sq. ft., and over 100 extruders.
