A helical, angle-feed dicer suitable for throughputs exceeding 7000 lb/hr is available from Josie Manufacturing. The dicer is designed to eliminate tails and incomplete cuts, producing a consistently high quality pellet. The dicer is compatible with all resins and elastomers, including difficult-to-cut low durometer materials.
The unit is said to provide less vibration and lower sound levels than other dicing-style pelletizers. It can be used in continuous compounding operations, internal mixers or extruders.
Unique hold down pads provide very positive control at high input speeds.
