Wayne Machine’s new compact width satellite extruder is suited for production retrofit co-extrusion applications. The new series benefits processors by enabling co-extrusion in limited floor space, a situation that is common when monolayer lines are converted to multi-layer ones.
Heavy duty double reduction helical gearboxes with hardened ground gearing allow for 24-hour production duty rating. The compact extruder will handle all co-extrusion applications and high temperature FEP packages (including nickel alloy screw, full barrel and feed section bimetallic production) are available.
Satellite extruders range from 1/4 in. to 2 1/2 in.
