Maag Pump Systems Textron has made a significant improvement to the flat screen pack for its piston-type screen changers. The new micronex candle filter screen changer increases the filtration area up to 30 times that of flat screen packs.
The new filter option offers increased mesh without increased pressure or frequency of screen change, and the ability to use depth filtration to capture gels.
“By using candle filters you can reach filtration ratings of 40 microns and finer, something not practical with a flat screen,” explains Wilfried Leuders, screen changer product manager.
