Conair’s new Miniature Handy Hopper comes with a clear material cone, making it easy for machine operators to verify material flow. The clear polycarbonate cone is mounted in a sturdy frame that can be bolted to an injection molding machine or extruder. The hopper can hold about 0.3 ft.3 of material. A lid closes firmly on the top of the material cone and supports a wide range of loading devices.
The machine-mounted hopper can be quickly removed for material changes. A dribble-proof slide gate automatically engages as the hopper is removed, preventing remaining material from spilling. A level-sensing device may be installed within the hopper frame to provide a low-level material warning or to trigger automatic filling.
