AlphaGary’s Evoprene thermoplastic elastomer compounds were selected by Vacu Vin B.V. of the Netherlands to produce some new additions to the company’s line of wine accessories. The Evoprene compounds have a wide choice of grades, superior processing characteristics, food contact approval and a history of usage in the wine industry.
Vacu Vin’s Wine Server is molded from a hard Evoprene grade, which is rigid enough to fit snugly over the bottle neck but still provide a comfortable, tactile grip. The product is designed to prevent spillage when pouring.
A soft Evoprene compound plays a key role in gripping the bottle neck in the Winemaster Corkscrew.
For the Bottle Coaster, Evoprene is co-molded with polypropylene. The TPE material provides a soft grip for the bottle and a non-slip base.
