The realignment of trade show dates continues, as the next Plastimagen Mexico trade show will be staged from October 4-7, 2011, instead of in March 2012.

The announcement was made by the show’s owner and organizer E. J. Krause de Mexico at the end of this year’s show in Mexico City, which wrapped up on March 26.

According to Plastimagen’s organizing committee, the change was made necessary because the Society of the Plastics Industry Inc. has moved the triennial NPE2012 show to the first week of April 2012 in Orlando, Fla.

“Given the important participation both of exhibitors and visitors at NPE, we felt obliged to move the dates to avoid a clash between the two events,” the committee said. “We know that the industry is becoming more and more international and we would not like to choose a date close to other important exhibitions.”

The trend of juggling trade show dates has also seen Canada’s Plast-Ex show in Toronto moved from 2010 to June 21-23, 2011.
