“In times like these, when the global plastics and rubber industry is faced with a severe slump, the exhibiting companies’ loyalty to their leading trade fair means more than ever,” said Werner M. Dornscheidt, president and CEO of Messe Düsseldorf. “We are all confident that, by October next year, the economy will have turned around and the market will once again take the stage at full strength and in all its diversity. As for Messe Düsseldorf, we will do our utmost to ensure that K 2010 plays its part in generating an upswing in business for the participating companies.”

According to Dornscheidt, the exhibitors’ products will be complemented by a presentation called “Visions in Polymers”, designed to showcase development trends and innovations in the industry. The exhibit will be organized by Messe Düsseldorf and the German plastics industry, headed by PlasticsEurope Deutschland e.V.
