Bjorn Hedlund has been named as the new global marketing director for DuPont Engineering Polymers. Hedlund, who has been with the company for over 25 years, will also continue in his current position as regional director Europe, Middle East, Africa for the same division. He is based at DuPont’s European headquarters in Geneva, Switzerland.

Youngstown, Ohio-based Spirex Corporation has appointed Jeff Wotring as midwest regional manager. He will manage the regions of eastern Canada, Michigan, western New York, Ohio western Pennsylvania and West Virginia.

D-M-E Company, of Madison Heights, Michigan, has promoted Jim Hunt to the position of global business manager of its molding supplies unit.

The Society of the Plastics Industry (SPI), headquartered in Washington, D.C., has named Kevin Ott as executive director of two of its end-market business groups: the Film & Bag Federation, and the Bio-Process Systems Alliance. Ott was previously the vice president of the Rubber Manufacturers Associations’ Elastomer Products Group.
