Optima Colour adds capacity at Cambridge plant

Cambridge, Ont.-based resin supplier Optima Colour has added two new extrusion lines to strengthen its supply of specialty colour concentrates across Canada.

The new lines are designed for ABS, acrylic, SAN, polycarbonate, PE, PP, PS, as well as other thermoplastic polymers, according to general manager Tyler Kilgannon.

The addition was necessary for Optima Colour to keep up with its rapid growth in the injection and blow molding markets, Kilgannon continued.

“Our customers demand fast, reliable and cost effective colour concentrates in a multitude of resins,” he said. “We will continue to stay ahead of the curve and exceed their expectations by adding the capacity tailored to their processing needs.”
